Hotter weather expected for Monday, Cairo 38C

Meteorologists expect a gradual increase in temperatures on Monday across Egypt.

Hot temperatures are predicted along the north coast, Cairo and Lower Egypt, with the highest temperatures south of Upper Egypt during the daylight hours, eventually growing milder by night.

Temperatures predicted for the following cities are 31C in Alexandria, 38C in Cairo, 39C in Qena, and 40C in Luxor, and 41C in Aswan.

Mist will affect visibility across the country’s northern parts in the morning, and low and medium-level clouds are to be expected.

Winds are predicted to be northwestern and mild, active on the northwestern coasts and the Gulf of Suez.

Waves in the Mediterranean Sea and the Red Sea will be moderate and range between 1.5 to 2 meters in height, while the surface winds on both seas will be northwestern.
