The Arab and African Research Center (AARC) and the Africanists Public Group will hold an open meeting on the situation of African cinema at the center’s headquarters in Giza on Dec. 5 at 5:00 p.m.
The seminar is set to discuss the situation of the African cinema in terms of topics of interest and the extent to which it copes with changing circumstances and events, shedding light on the difficulties it faces due to the influence of American and Indian cinema.
The meeting will also discuss the influence of African cinema on Egypt and how it is received, as well as the mutual influences of different cinemas and festivals within the African continent.
