Egyptian Armed Forces stressed that the Facebook page and Twitter accounts of the military spokesperson are the “only official source” via which it announces its official statements and information to the public, according to a Sunday statement issued by the Armed Forces.
The statement comes amid false information about the military circulated on social media pages claiming affiliation with the Armed Forces.
“The Armed Forces call on media outlets and all Egyptians not to trust other sources on social media when seeking information related to the Armed Forces,” added the statement.
