Lebanon announce 1st confirmed Coronavirus case

Lebanese Ministry of Public Health announced first confirmed Coronavirus case, Friday, adding that he arrived in Beirut coming from Tahran.

The patient was hospitalized and isolated according to the statement.

Iran has recorded so far 18 confirmed case of Coronavirus, four of them died.

On February 14, Egypt announced its first Coronavirus case. Spokesperson for the Health Ministry Khaled Megahed said that the laboratory tests which were conducted for the suspected case at Cairo International Airport, resulted in a positive virus, however no symptoms appears on the infected person.

Yesterday, Chinese Ambassador in Cairo Liao Liqiang Praised Egypt’s supportive role to China amid the Coronavirus crises.

During a press conference, Liqiang said that China will remember Egypt’s support forever.

“China is keen to cooperate with all countries around the world to ensure the prevention of the spread of the Coronavirus and to ensure the safety of travelers.” Liqiang added during the fourth press conference organized by the Chinese Embassy in Cairo to review the efforts of China confronting Coronavirus.

Chinese President Xi Jinping sent a message to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi thanking him for Egypt’s support for China in the face of coronavirus and for the medical supplies sent to China, according to Liqiang.

He explained that Xi asserted, in the message, the depth of strategic partnership between Egypt and China, adding that his country can overcome coronavirus.

Coronavirus, which was first emerged in Chania, infected so far 77,253 people around the world, killed nearly 2,250, while 18,909 cases have recovered, according to world meters website.
