Upon a decision by Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli, a representative of the Central Bank of Egypt will join the members of two ministerial committees formed on investment dispute settlement, a source at the bank said Thursday.
CBE governor Tarek Amer will represent the bank in the two committees, the source said.
The committee on investment dispute resolution was formed under Article 85 of the Investment Law. It is tasked with settling disputes between investors and state bodies.
It is will be presided over by the justice minister and includes the ministers of finance, local development, housing, trade and industry as members.
The second one is the committee on settling disputes of investment contracts. It was formed under Article 88 of Investment Law.
It is chaired by the premier and includes the ministers of justice, finance, public business sector, and trade as members.
