Minister of Social Solidarity Nevine el Kabbaj inaugurated “Diarna” exhibition in Marina 5 in the North Coast.
The exhibition will run until mid August amidst strong health preventive measures, Qabbaj said in a statement on Thursday.
The ministry is taking the first step in resuming the activities of Diarna exhibitions after their stop because of the coronavirus pandemic, she added.
As many as 37 productive families representing nine governorates take part in the event, said she.
The exhibition includes chinaware, furnishings, carpets, Akhmim products, rugs, copperware, women and home accessories, leather products, food products and cosmetics, Qabbaj said.
She asserted the importance of taking all the preventive measures against coronavirus, adding that the ministry was keen on leaving wide areas between the exhibitors to maintain social distance.
