EGX ends Sunday on mixed note, market cap. gains LE62.17M

The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Sunday session on mixed note, adding LE 62.17 million to market capitalization, amid foreign selling.

The benchmark EGX30 declined 0.37 percent, or 40.41 points, to close at 10,858.26 points.

On the other hand, the equally weighted index EGX 50 increased 0.19 percent, or 4.16 points, to end at 2,145.42 points.

The small and mid-cap index EGX 70 hiked 0.53 percent, or 10.56 points, to close at 2,020.81 points, and the broader index EGX 100 jumped 0.25 percent, or 7.26 points to 2,945.13 points.

Market capitalization gained around LE 62.17 million, recording LE 692.3 billion, compared to LE 692.24 billion in Thursday’s session.

The trading volume reached 515.25 million shares, traded through 41,534 transactions, with a turnover of LE 1.16 billion.

Foreign investors were net sellers at LE 44.88 million, while Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers at LE 34.56 million, and LE 10.32 million, respectively.

Arab, and Foreign individuals were net buyers at LE 8.38 million, and LE 705,589, respectively, while Egyptian individuals were net sellers at LE 28.38 million.

Egyptian and Arab organizations bought at LE 62.94 million , and LE 1.93 million, respectively, while foreign organizations sold at LE 45.59 million.

EGX ended Thursday session in red, as EGX30 declined 0.83 percent, EGX 50 dipped 0.48 percent, EGX 70 rose 0.50 percent and the broader index EGX 100 decreased 0.55 percent.
