CAIRO – 10 February 2022: More than 672,000 citizens have been vaccinated with the third booster dose of the Corona vaccine, announced the Egyptian Ministry of Health.
The Ministry confirmed that vaccinating citizens with the third dose of the Corona virus vaccine enables them to strengthen their immunity against the Corona virus.
The Ministry of Health and Population said that more than 672,000 citizens have received the third booster dose now, highlighting its great importance in protecting against infection.
The Ministry of Health and Population added that vaccines are safe and effective in the face of the Corona virus, and the vaccine can be obtained easily through the vaccine reservation website.
This comes a day after the World Health Organization held a press conference in Cairo, providing the latest developments in confronting Coronavirus, ensuring the importance of a third dose “booster” to protect against the infection.
In her speech, Director of WHO’s Programs Department, Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean Dr. Rana Al-Hajja said: “We recommend the booster dose for those who received the second dose, and their immunity was low, and it is a third dose, not a fourth dose, and justice must be achieved to deliver vaccines to the largest possible number.”
The Ministry of Health and Population continues to raise its preparations in all governorates of the Republic, follow up on the situation first-hand regarding the “emerging corona virus”, and take all necessary preventive measures against any viruses or infectious diseases, and the ministry has allocated a number of means of communication to receive citizens’ inquiries about the emerging corona virus and infectious diseases. Including the hotline “105”, “15335” and the WhatsApp number “01553105105”, in addition to the “Health Egypt” application available on phones.
