The Foreign Ministry on Tuesday voiced Egypt’s deep concern over the recent escalation in the Gaza Strip.
In a statement, the ministry warned against serious negative consequences of the continuity of such vicious cycle of escalation in the occupied Palestinian territory.
The ministry reiterated call on Israel to put an immediate end to all forms of military action, asserting the need for immediately stopping violence and restoring calm.
It urged all sides to move away from any situation that would aggravate the humanitarian situation and undermine the possibility of achieving the aspired peace and restoring the Palestinian people’s legitimate rights.
