Temperature degrees will continue to rise across Egypt amid a scorching heat wave hitting the country, and is expected to peak on Wednesday and Thursday, recording 40°C.
The temperature will be higher in cities located in the southern Upper Egypt, while a moderate weather will be witnessed on the Northern Coasts of the country.
Mahmoud Shaheen, an official at the Egyptian Meteorological Authority said that there is a clear increase in temperature degrees by 4-5 degrees until the end of the week, advising citizens to drink large amounts of liquids during the Iftar (Breaking the fast) meal, and to avoid direct exposure to the sun during the fasting hours.
The heat wave is expected to relent by Friday, with temperature degrees going down by around 4°C.
