Egypt’s President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades and Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras are set to hold a tripartite summit next week in Crete island to discuss upgrading cooperation between the three countries at all levels.
The meeting is to discuss security cooperation in the Mediterranean, as well as economic cooperation and consolidating efforts to curb illegal immigration.
It will also discuss exchanged visions on several regional and international issues of mutual concern such as the Syrian crisis and the Palestinian file, the situation in Libya and enhancing Egypt’s ties with the European Union.
Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry has held talks with his counterparts Nikolaos Kotzias of Greece and Nikos Christodoulidis of Cyprus last Thursday on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
