The number of victims who died after a blaze broke out due to a train crash in Cairo’s Ramses Railway Station has risen to 22 after an ambulance driver died from his injuries.
Dr. Mohamed Gad, head of Egypt’s ambulance authority, affirmed that the ambulance driver, Khaled Mohamed, died from his injuries on Thursday.
Moreover, Minister of Health and Population Hala Zayed affirmed that the number of victims has risen to 22 cases, including an unknown citizen.
She also said all of the injured are receiving the necessary treatment.
Twenty people were announced killed on Wednesday morning and at least 40 others injured when a train collided into the buffer stop at platform number six.
Mohamed, who drove ‘Ambulance no. 2379’ in Ramsis, suffered third degree burns to 85 per cent of his body. Unfortunately, he could not survive.
