Ahmed Khalil, partnerships director at the World Youth Forum, said during his speech at the Arab and African Youth Forum in Aswan that similar challenges are facing youths in the Arab region and the African continent, including lack of empowerment and training, shortage of human resources, rehabilitation of youths and economic challenges.

The Arab and African Youth Forum kicked off today in Aswan. It is set to last for three days until March 18 under the patronage of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi.

Khalil further said that the World Youth Forum is a successful model of the Egyptian youth experiment that discusses all regional and international topics.

“Ambition and strong will are among the criteria for accepting youths in the Presidential Leadership Program,” Khalil said, adding that the program targets young people aged between 18 to 30 years.

Aswan was announced by President Sisi at the World Youth Forum in 2018 as the “capital for African youth” in 2019.
