President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi said that the problem of communication with young people has existed before, pointing out youth forums pose great opportunities for the state and the youth to raise topics and discussions between officials and young citizens.
During his speech at the Arab and African Youth Forum, which kicked off today in Aswan, President Sisi said he thought about holding a televised meeting on a weekly basis, and that the World Youth Forum proposal was a one-time forum, however, “the great platform that the forum provided to communicate with youths encouraged us to repeat the experience.”
Aswan was announced by President Sisi at the World Youth Forum in 2018 as the “capital for African youth” in 2019.
