Egypt’s Foreign Ministry on Thursday expressed deep condolences after at least 42 people were dead in western Cameroon as a result of a wreckage of a landslide.
The statement conveyed Egypt’s condolences to the government and people of the brotherly state of Cameroon and the families of the victims and wished speedy recovery for the injured.
It also expressed Egypt’s support to Cameroon to overcome the recent crisis.
The landslide on Monday followed days of torrential rains in the city of Bafoussam, according to state media. Many people can still be under the rubble.
