The Film Society Festival Administration, headed by director of cinematography Mahmoud Abdel Samea announced the results of the jury, headed by the great critic Kamal Ramzi, the critic Osama Abdel Fattah, and Professor of montage dr. Rahma Montaser and the critic Ola ElShafei, the interior designer engineer Fawzi Al-Awamri, director and scriptwriter Mohammed Abu Saif and critic Mohammed Al-Ruby, and director of photography Dr. Mohamed Aser, and director Hani Lasheen for the awards of the 46th edition of the annual Egyptian Film Society Festival.
Where the films “Blue Elephant ” part 2 and “When We Are Born” were able to obtain the lion’s share of the awards.
“When We Are Born” awarded the best film, while the actress Salma Hassan received the best actress award for the leading role, while the great artist Hanan Soliman won the award for best actress in a second role, while the director Tamer Ezzat received the best director award and the late Nadine Shams received the award for the best scenario.
Meanwhile, actress Oumayma El Sibai received a certificate of appreciation from the jury for her role in this film.
As for the movie, “The Blue Elephant” part 2, it won the award for the best makeup Tarek Mostafa, the best voice mixer for Ahmed Abu El-Saad, while Nahed Nasrallah was awarded for best costume designer, and the musician Hisham Nazih received the award as the best musician. Finally, the editor Ahmed Hafez won the award for best editing.
While the artist Mohamed Saad received the award for the best actor in a lead role for his role in the movie “The treasure ” part 2, the artist Maged Al-Kadwani received the special jury award for his role in the movie “The Guest”, Bassem Samra received the award for the best actor in a second role for his role in the movie “Rizk’s Sons ” part 2, and the interior decorator Ali Hussam received the decoration award for the movie “The Guest”, while the director of photography Ahmed Youssef received the award for the best photography for the film “Scarecrow”, at the same time ” Between Two Seas ” won the best film poster award.
The festival management also announced the award by the members of the association and the public through the daily plebiscite held after the shows, the film “Guest” by director Hadi Al-Bagouri received the highest votes.
Like every year, these seven days of the festival were full of joy, and so were impressive, with all the great film artists who made us joyful for many years.
In conclusion, the festival left an impression of happiness in the hearts of all those present.
On the eighth of February artists will be honored and awards will be distributed in the cinema of Muhammad Farid on Imad Al-Din Street.
