Minister of State for Information Minister Osama Heikal has stressed that the Egyptian government is dealing with the global spread of coronavirus with full transparency.
Heikal gave the remarks during a seminar here on the way Arab societies are depicted in the West. The seminar comes as part of the International Government Communication Forum (IGCF) which opened here on Thursday.
He reaffirmed that Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli holds periodic meetings to follow up all developments and measures taken to deal with any suspicious cases of the novel coronavirus and check all travelers coming to Egypt.
Heikal added that the government immediately announced the first coronavirus case in Egypt once it was confirmed as well as the other cases of foreigners and an Egyptian national who returned home from Serbia.
