The Ministry of Interior revealed that the curfew was broken by 1,816 individuals, 78 vehicles, 51 motorcycles, and 32 three-wheel vehicles (Toktok) over the past 24 hours.
The partial curfew – which began on March 25 and is set to last for 15 days – starts at 7p.m. and ends at 6a.m. Yet, stores and shopping malls have to close earlier at 5p.m. but that rule was broken by 83 shops in 24 hours.
The Ministry of Interior has detected hundreds of violations of the rules set by the Cabinet to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in less than one week.
The police fined 213 stores, cafes, restaurants, and shopping malls, and 73 private tutoring centers. As private tutoring centers were banned earlier this month, a large number of them were shut down, bringing thetotal figure to 12,531 across the country.
Furthermore, the police broke 571 market manipulationcases, including 251 cases pertinent to monopoly, product hiding to create a deficiency in supply, and price manipulation.
