President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi stressed in a speech marking the anniversary of the October 6 war Tuesday that Egypt’s ambitions have no end.

He asserted that the threats posed on Egypt, even if changed in nature, are not less dangerous now, pointing out that the future of nations cannot be built on slogans.

“The October victory taught us that the Egyptian nation is always able to stand for its rights and force others to respect Egypt,” Sisi stated. He noted that the October War gave all Egyptians a new spirit of perseverance and a sense of capability off acing difficulties.

The Egyptian president had presided over the meeting of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces, which dealt with several files related to the activities and tasks of the armed forces and their efforts to protect the national security from all strategic directions, and to combat terrorism in cooperation with various state institutions.

Within the framework of the celebrations of Egypt and the armed forces of the 47th anniversary of the October victories, the president placed wreaths of flowers on the memorial of the armed forces’ martyrs in Nasr City on Tuesday morning.
