Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on Monday urged hiring women at the Supreme Judicial Council and the State Council.

The world is celebrating today, March 8th, the International Women’s Day. The president was keen to extend congratulations to the Egyptian women earlier this day.

Sisi urged Justice Minister Omar Marwan to coordinate with the heads of the Supreme Judicial Council and the State Council to ensure that women are hired in these two bodies, the ministry said in a statement.

The step comes to stress the women’s competence in taking various posts and to maximize the successes in the different fields they work in, the statement read.

Sisi expressed Monday respect and appreciation for Egyptian women “who diligently carry the conscience of the homeland in a way that corresponds with their eternal historical status.”

“It is a constant principle that women are the inexhaustible spring of giving and goodness, and the renewable energy of safety and sacrifice. Women are the primary source of wisdom and principles, and the basis of family building and cohesion,” the president added.
