The Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation has announced the export of poultry chicken hatching eggs to the UAE for the first time.
The move comes after Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation El Sayed el Quseir and Deputy Minister of Agriculture for Livestock, Fisheries and poultry Mostafa el Sayyad have received a report from the Livestock and poultry Development Sector, and the General Authority for Veterinary Services on approving the export of 126,000 poultry chicken hatching eggs from an isolated poultry establishment to the UAE for the first time ever, after applying all necessary quarantine procedures.
Meanwhile, Head of the Livestock and Poultry Development Sector Tarek Suleiman said Egypt’s production of poultry chicken stands at about 1.4 billion annually, adding that what exceeds the country’s needs of any poultry products will be exported
