The Egyptian Exchange (EGX) ended Tuesday’s session on mixed note, adding around LE 413.12 million to market capitalization, amid Arab and foreign purchases.
The benchmark EGX30 declined 0.98 percent, or 108.46 points, to end at 10,937.69 points.
On the other hand, the equally weighted index EGX 50 increased 0.61 percent, or 14.58 points, to end at 2,419.85 points.
The small and mid-cap index EGX 70 rose 1.20 percent, or 34.73 points, to close at 2,919.82 points, and the broader index EGX 100 hiked 0.83 percent, or 32.24 points, to close at 3,895.82 points.
Market capitalization gained around LE 413.12 million, recording LE 720.94 billion, compared to LE 720.53 billion in Monday’s session.
The trading volume reached 696.41 million shares, traded through 59,015 transactions, with a turnover of LE 1.94 billion.
Egyptian investors were net sellers at LE 32.66 million, while Arab and foreign investors were net buyers at LE 17.34 million, and LE 15.32 million, respectively.
Egyptian, Arab and foreign individuals were net buyers at LE 80.18 million, LE 13.56 million, and LE 106,581, respectively.
Arab and foreign organizations bought at LE 3.77 million, and LE 15.21 million, respectively, while Egyptian organizations sold at LE 112.84 million.
United Housing & Development, El Shams Housing & Urbanizationm and El Kahera El Watania Investment were top gainers of the session at 12.35 percent, 9.97 percent and 9.71 percent, respectively.
Meanwhile, International Co for Investment & Development, Mena Touristic & Real Estate Investment, and Golden Textiles & Clothes Wool were top losers of the session by 10 percent, 9.64 percent, and 7.93 percent, respectively.
EGX ended Monday on mixed note, as: EGX30 rose 0.15 percent, EGX 50 increased 0.27 percent, while EGX 70 inched down 0.08 percent, and EGX 100 dipped 0.06 percent,
