The Economic and Social Development Plan, submitted by the Ministry of Planning to the parliament, indicates that EgyptAir aims for the procurement of nine planes by the end of 2023.
Eight of those will be acquired through the operating lease system, including four that will be received in 2022.
Further, there is a plan to introduce a new terminal, whose capacity is estimated to be four million passengers per annum, in Alexandria’s Borg Al Arab airport.
The ministry noted that investments allocated to the civil aviation sector in FY2021/22 is LE9.3 billion
