ECSS Releases 8 Bilingual Publications to Be Exhibited in Their Booth in EDEX 2021

The Egyptian Center for Strategic Studies' collection of books at EDEX - ECSS

The Egyptian Center for Strategic Studies (ECSS) is to participate in the second edition of the International Defence and Military Industries Exhibition, EDEX 2021, to be held at the Cairo International Conference Centre (CICC) in new Cairo from 29 November to 2 December, with a collection of special books and new publications that cover various topics, including technology, military industries, geostrategic developments in the Middle East, and terrorism in the Sahel.

The ECSS is stepping towards its fourth year with this outstanding participation in EDEX 2021, one of the largest defense and military exhibitions worldwide. The ECSS welcomes EDEX visitors in its booth, H4-F9, and will be honored to receive dignitaries from friendly countries participating in the exhibition, providing the opportunity for discussions between ECSS’ experts and senior foreign officials on proceedings of the exhibition, contributions of their countries, as well as the security and military topics of interest to EDEX guests.

At EDEX, the ECSS releases four books in Arabic and English, namely “Restructuring Power Equation in the Middle East” and “Private Military Companies: A New Challenge in International Relations” edited by Dr. Dalal Mahmoud and foreworded by Dr. Khaled Okasha, ECSS General Manager, “Terrorism in the Sahel”, edited by Dr. Ahmad Amal, and “Missile Power in the Middle East” edited by Dr. Ahmad Eleiba and foreworded by Gen. Muhammad Qashqoush.

In addition to these books, these are four special publications prepared by ECSS’ experts and researchers, namely “Leading from Behind: Redeploying US Military Forces”, “Drones: History, Operations, and Future”, “Deterrence: A Strategic Concept in the Face of Contemporary Challenges”, and “Military Technology: Arms Race or Parity for Deterrence?”.

Commenting on the diversified publications of ECSS in EDEX 2021, Dr. Khaled Okasha, General Manager of ECSS, stated that this diversification aims at covering all contemporary developments and trends in military industries, the relationship between these developments and the political and strategic contexts in the Arab world and Africa, as well as the political tendencies of major powers and the future of military balance in the Middle East and worldwide.
