CAIRO – 23 February 2022: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) said that 1,829 stalled factories and tourism companies have benefitted from initiatives launched by the State to support defaulters till December 2021.
In a press release on Wednesday, the CBE said that such initiatives targeted the defaulting businesses, whose debts are less than LE 10 million, and the tourism companies with debts of over LE 10 million.
It added that such stalled companies have been supported with LE 30.3 billion under such initiatives by the end of December 2021.
