Egyptian national who got shot in Ukraine transferred to safer area: Ambassador

CAIRO – 4 March 2022: CAIRO – The Egyptian national, who was injured in a collaborate damage in Ukraine, has been successfully transferred to a safer area in western Ukraine, said Ambassador Salah Abdel Sadiq, the Assistant Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs and Egyptians Abroad said on Friday evening.

Mohamed Saad Ragab Mohamed Zayed got shot with two bullets in Kharkov eastern Ukraine amid the military escalation between Russian and Ukraine last week.

Zayed’s condition is stable as he, along with his family, prepares with his family to cross the Ukrainian-Polish border, said Ambassador Sadiq in comments to “Extra News” Channel.

The Egyptian national has a wife, a 14-year-old daughter, a 13-month son, and a mother-in-law. The family will move to Poland where Zayed receive the necessary medical care before their coming to Egypt.

On February 27, 2022, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced Zayed’s injury, assuring his relatives in Egypt that the Egyptian diplomats in Ukraine and Poland were following up on his condition and would take all the necessary measures to bring him back home.
