1st Arabic edition of German Daf Bama Music Awards to be held Dec. 21

Latifa - Egypt Today.

Tunisian singer Latifa, famed Algerian singer Cheb Khaled, Lebanese singer Najwa Karam and Moroccan singer Douzi will gather in Dubai to launch the first Arabic edition of the German Daf Bama Music Awards.

The awards will be hosted for the first time by an Arab country as the ceremony will be held at the Dubai Media City on Dec. 21, 2018.

Douzi was nominated to represent Morocco following a rough competition with Saad Lamjarred and Samira Said. Najwa karam will represent Lebanon and Cheb Khaled will represent Algeria.

The Egyptian audience is expected to announce who will represent Egypt in the festival after a sharp competition between Amr Diab, Tamer Hosni and Hamaki.

Famed singer Mohammed Mounir was labeled “The Legend” after he won the award in the previous year’s edition.

The Daf Bama Music Awards enabled online voting through its official website in August, allowing the public from around the world to cast their votes and choose their favorite singer from each country.
