The Egyptian Association of Graduates of Russian and Soviet Universities greeted Russian Ambassador in Cairo Georgiy Borisenko on the 77th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Egypt and Russia on August 26, 1943.

Double congratulations to ourselves and to the Russian friends who have proven throughout recent history that they are the most loyal friends to the Egyptian people in light of cooperation with the former Soviet Union, which contributed to establishing about 100 projects of the most important infrastructure basics for the Egyptian economy, on top of which is the High Dam, said the association’s president Sherif Gad.

Gad added that the strength of Cairo-Moscow relations is evidence in the complete understanding achieved between the two countries’ leaderships, in addition to the convergence of their international positions.

He also pointed out to the continued joint cooperation on the construction of major projects, such as the Dabaa project that aims to produce peaceful nuclear energy, and the Russian industrial zone.
