Emigration Minister Nabila Makram has urged Egyptian clubs in Dubai and Ajman to contribute to a solidarity initiative meant to offer a helping hand to fellow nationals stranded in the UAE during this period until Kuwait allows their return on January 1.

Makram, in a statement Sunday, said Egyptian clubs in the UAE could very well contact her Ministry’s operations room to get information about how to reach the stranded Egyptians who had booked tickets to Kuwait before the Gulf country suspended flights until January 1, 2021.

The minister said she is confident the Egyptian community and clubs in the UAE would be there for their fellow Egyptians who had to remain in the UAE for a short while.

The Emigration Ministry also urged expats temporarily staying in the UAE to register their names with the operations room there so that they could be easily reached.
