Korean minister visits Egypt to boost cooperation in defense industries

Minister of Defense and Military Production Mohamed Zaki met Sunday with the Korean Minister of the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) Kang Eun-ho to discuss bolstering cooperation between the Armed Forces of both countries, particularly in the field of defense industries.

The Korean minister said his country looks forward to taking part in EDEX-2021, which will be held in December in Cairo.

The meeting was attended by Chief of Staff Mohamed Farid and a number of high-ranking commanders as well as the South Korean ambassador to Cairo.

The Korean minister and an accompanying delegation are holding a several-day visit to Egypt. On Friday, they convened with the Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Ahmed Morsi to examine opportunities of cooperation in military and civilian industries.
