Egypt, South Sudan seek enhancement of bilateral relations in water, irrigation fields

Egypt has established six underground water wells in the South Sudanese capital, Juba, besides another number of projects that helped create more job opportunities, said Egyptian Irrigation Minister Mohamed Abdel Atti during a meeting with his South Sudanese counterpart Manawa Peter Gatkuoth on Wednesday.

In addition to this, Egypt also participated in establishing river berths to connect the main cities with villages of South Sudan by the river navigation, Abdel Atti added, saying that a project to purify waterways in the Bahr al-Ghazal basin was also established.

Both ministers discussed other future projects that enhance the bilateral relations and achieve the goals of sustainable development.
