Assistant Egypt’s FM reviews cultural rights as part of human rights strategy

Human Rights: Building the Post-Pandemic World

Assistant Foreign Minister for European Affairs Badr Abdel Aati reviewed on Tuesday the cultural rights as part of the national strategy for human rights launched by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

Abdel Ati’s statements came as addressed the Creative Forum held in Ljubljana, Slovenia, organized by Union for Mediterranean (UFM) in cooperation with the Slovenian Foreign Ministry.

The assistant foreign minister shed light on the role of Egypt’s soft power represented in Al Azhar and the Coptic church to implement Egypt’s foreign policies as Egypt enjoys rich cultural heritage.

Abdel Ati stressed the importance of the role played by culture in international relations especially in the fields of spreading tolerance and dialogue and combating extremism, racism and hate crimes.
