The Ministry of Interior announced Wednesday that citizens who possess licensed guns must renew the licenses between October 2 and November 30.
Licensed arms include birdshot shotguns, live round guns, white weapons, sound guns, air and gas guns and pistols. Licenses are granted when the purpose is self-defense, private security services, bird hunting, shooting sports, or decoration.
Citizens can still renew the license by December 31, if they put forward a good excuse. Otherwise, the license is revoked and it will be a must to immediately submit the arm to the Police Department that issued the permit in the first place.
In case of failure to do both, the violator will be prosecuted and the arm will be confiscated by law enforcement entities.
