Egypt’s First Lady Entissar Amer marked the International Day for Older Persons on 1 October, saying older people have “given us a lot”.
“We appreciate the International Day for Older Persons on 1 October and express our appreciation of the earlier generations,” Amer said.
Amer affirmed the state’s continuous care about the elderly and keenness to provide them with requirements and the different means of support.
“We express our appreciation of the earlier generations that have given us a lot for their contribution to developing the nation,” Amer added.
