All EGX indices down, benchmark declines 1.35%

CAIRO – 31 March 2022: Egyptian Exchange (EGX) indices went down collectively at the close of Wednesday’s trading, amid sales from foreign institutions and investment funds as well as Arab investors.

Meanwhile, purchases prevailed in transactions of Arab and domestic institutions.

The market capital lost about LE 4.5 billion, closing at LE 726.6 billion after transactions totaled some LE 6.1 billion.

The EGX 30 benchmark index declined 1.35 percent, standing at 11,239.21 points.

The broader EGX 70 EWI of the leading small and medium enterprises (SMEs) decreased 0.57 percent, recording 1,917.55 points.

The all-embracing EGX 100 index was also down 0.63 percent, registering 2,900.2 points.
