Egypt condemns terrorist attack on mosque in Afghanistan’s Kunduz

Egypt condemned on Friday the terrorist attack that targeted a mosque in Afghanistan’s Kunduz province, leaving scores of worshippers dead and injured.

In a statement, the Foreign Ministry offered Egypt’s sincere condolences to the Afghan people and the families of the victims of this terrorist attack, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.

It also renewed Egypt’s solidarity to face the phenomena of terrorism, violence and extremism in all their forms.

Al-Azhar Al-Sharif also condemned, in the strongest terms, the terrorist bombing that targeted a mosque in the Afghan province of Kunduz.

In a statement, Al-Azhar affirmed its categorical rejection of all acts of violence and terrorism targeting places of worship, stressing that “these deviants deviated from the values of religion and were stripped of all human norms, and tried to deliberately distort the image of religion,” calling for the need to unite international efforts to confront terrorism.
